Temi Zeitenberg, Esq.
Ms. Zeitenberg’s legal career began over nineteen years ago as an attorney with the Florida Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, prosecuting cases of abuse, abandonment, and neglect of children. Additionally, she worked with the Florida Department of Children and Families, Office of General Counsel, handling a variety of matters including prosecuting cases of elderly abuse and neglect, establishing guardianships, appellate research and writing, and handling public record requests.
In 2012, Ms. Zeitenberg went into private practice focusing on marital and family law. While in private practice, Ms. Zeitenberg acted with fierce advocacy and negotiating skills, combined with a sensitivity and compassion needed to guide her clients to a cost effective and clear-cut resolution. When necessary, Ms. Zeitenberg utilized her trial advocacy skills in the courtroom to achieve the best outcomes for her clients.

In 2018, Ms. Zeitenberg was appointed as a General Magistrate in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County. As a Magistrate, Ms. Zeitenberg was assigned to the family, mental health, and child support divisions. Ms. Zeitenberg presided over hundreds of hearings and non-jury trials. In addition, Ms. Zeitenberg was responsible for legal research, drafting and writing reports, orders, and judgments.
In addition to her mediation practice, Ms. Zeitenberg serves as a Guardian ad Litem in high-conflict custody cases, advocating for the best interests of children and ensuring their voices are heard in legal proceedings. Ms. Zeitenberg brings a child-centered, trauma-informed perspective to every case.
Recognizing the need for a new approach to a new beginning, Ms. Zeitenberg founded DivorceSmart which focuses on a negotiated settlement rather than litigation as the best strategy in family law cases. Ms. Zeitenberg uses her years of trial litigation experience combined with presiding over hundreds of cases as a General Magistrate to empower others to resolve disputes without litigation. Ms. Zeitenberg’s background allows her to analyze cases on an individual basis with an eye to achieving the most efficient and economical result. Ms. Zeitenberg’s patience and passion for alternative dispute resolution helps others come to an agreement, which in turn, saves time, money, stress.
